July 2021
Happy summer, and thank you for checking in with us here. Artists on the roster are playing out live more each month, and all of these shows are listed in our newsletter.
We are not adding to our roster but always appreciate artists thinking of us.
May-June 2021
Thanks for landing our news page. The truly best way to keep up with news of the roster is to subscribe to our newsletter. The button to do so should be found on your left. For those who are here and wondering… YES!! We are still at it and keeping our heads above water. Shows are starting to be booked at a very slow trickle and for this we are so grateful. We can’t want to see y’all at a show in the not too distant future. Thank you for getting vaccinated thus helping the return of live shows.
April 2021
Thanks to my roster for playing our annual Roster Party and South By Soup Fest fundraiser for Caritas of Austin virtually again this year. And HUGE thanks all of you who donated to our SXSF fundraising pages. We are floored by your generosity again this year, and we are happy to share we have raised $6118 for 2021. Thank y’all so much, muchísimas gracias, you’ve made us cry happy tears once again.
March 2021
Thanks for being here. We are taking our annual Roster Party & SXSF benefit for the Food Services programs at Caritas of Austin online again year. As COVID-19 is still a concern, ComboPlate Booking is not comfortable having a public event. We will be having a virtual concert on March 17th which will be streamed live on YouTube. We are eternally grateful to Guero’s Taco Bar for allowing us to have SXSF there as we have every year since 2005, minus 2020 which was also online because of the beginning of the pandemic. We can’t wait to return to Guero’s in 2022.
This year is our 17th year to raise $ for the Food Services programs at Caritas of Austin. Please join us virtually on March 17th, listen to Laura talk about the continued need at Caritas while she begs for your donations – and hear LOTS of great music as well. Many businesses who have donated to our raffles in the past are still suffering, so we made the decision to not have a raffle this year. Last year you all blew our minds by helping us raise $6750! This year we are going to keep our goal back at $5000. We will be raising $ both here and on Facebook – let’s get those totals to $5000! With the recent winter storm and the ongoing pandemic, food insecurity in Austin is real.
You can donate now or during the event. Sending big hugs to all of you, we miss you!
January-February 2021
Happy New Year! Artists from the roster are welcoming opportunities to perform virtually, please reach out to learn more.

November-December 2020
Thank you for checking in here. We are still waiting for live music to return in a way that is safe for everyone. Until then you can subscribe to our once a month newsletter on the tab to the left. For end of year giving ideas, please see some suggestions in our December newsletter. Stay safe and happy new year, and here’s to the return of live music in 2021.
September-October 2020
We are continuing with the seldom “news” updates here on the web site as there is not too much news with the world of love live music still on hold. Artists from the roster are open to playing private events online and the very occasional socially distanced outside show. Please email to learn more. Don’t forget to subscribe to our once a month newsletter which has all of the show listings. Here’s a quick link to the October newsletter.
p.s. we miss all of you!

Free and open to the public, live music will be provided by the artists on the ComboPlate Booking roster and a few of our friends. Money will be raised by raffling off CDs from the artists and all band tips will go the Food Services programs. Gift certificates from local restaurants, coffeehouses and businesses will also be raffled with all proceeds also going to Caritas. Austinites who would like to help fight hunger in Austin – and hear some great live music while they are doing it – are encouraged to come to Gueros on March 18th. Again this year, we have included the option to donate on our online fundraising page: www.southbysoupfest.org
Not open to the public, but worth noting, ComboPlate Booking will also present a 3 day musical showcase this week, South By Soup Fest, exclusively for the clients of the Caritas Community Kitchen.
